Purpose Asia

Hey Everyone,

For those of you who don't know me here's a bit about myself.......

2011

Hello all,
This is perhaps the beginning of an amazing adventure that you and I will share in the next few years. But before we begin I think you should know what I'm about and where I'm going. Here's a tidbit about me and my purpose. I pray that we will be able to partner together to see God's work in the earth.

“Praise be to the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great
mercy he has given us new birth into
a living hope through the resurrection
of Jesus Christ from the dead”
  1 Peter 1:3
What hope God has brought to my life through His extravagant mercy! Just think four years ago many of you celebrated with me as I graduated from high school and began my journey through nursing school. Now, four years later, here you are celebrating its’ completion with me. And not only it’s completion but also God’s favor throughout my schooling evident in my being honored with graduate Magna Cum Laude and the University of Portland Nursing School’s Dean’s Award. I have been truly blessed with favor from God and man!
More importantly than graduation however, is the fact that you are rejoicing with me as I step into the real journey God has planned for me – foreign medical missions. Most of you know that I feel God called me over fifteen years ago to serve Him in Asia and He further refined that call to medical missions before I began high school. Now that God has helped me become a nurse, I look forward with great anticipation to the next steps of God’s call on my life.
In order to follow Christ in the path He has laid for me I have begun seriously seeking out a missions agency that will serve as a good fit for that path. I am also seeking to acquire Bible training and possibly language training in order to equip me for the field. There are two reasons I am telling you what God has laid on my heart. First of all, I pray that you will partner with me in prayer as I pursue God’s call on my life to take Jesus’ name where it has never been heard. And second, I would appreciate your support as I make the transition from my brief time here as a nurse to the great mystery that God has planned for my life to bring Him glory.
All of you have made such an enormous impact on my life and you are dear brothers and sisters in the faith. I look forward eagerly to sharing, and hearing, what God is doing around the world to glorify Himself so that all men may come to know Him and praise Him for the mercy and living hope that He brings.
