A Journey of a Thousand Miles      We've all heard the pop ular qu otation attri buted to a Chinese philosopher "A journey of a thous and miles begins with a single step." However, as I was looking up this quote online I discovered that the philosopher credited with making th is statement -- Lao-tzu -- actually said, "The journey of a thousand miles begins beneath one's feet." That made me stop and think about what God says in the midst of flurry and stress. In Psalm 46:11 God says, "Be still and know that I am God; [...]." In the last few months I have been busting around getting things ready, arranging preparations for my upcoming trip, scurrying around at work, laboring over language homework, studying for the Bible study I'm guiding this fall and about a week ago I realized that it had been a long time since I was still with God.
